Pamplona: Day 1 & 2

September 18-19
The first days are filled with busy work--errands, paperwork, tracking down information, communicating electronically, finding a more permanent place to stay.
It is very strange to be walking around in flip-flops (to let my blisters air out and heal) without 14 pounds on my back.  Now, however, we are carrying a different weight.
Tuesday evening, Jerri commandeers the housekeeping washer (good God--a seven-hour cycle!).  But, hey, we put the linens through the dryer and fold them.  That has to count for something.  When the washer finishes in the morning, Jerri moves the clothes to the dryer and we head out for breakfast and to start our to-do list for the day.
During our movements around the neighborhood, we discover a tiny, inexpensive café for desayuno...

...a Pizza Hut (we get a kick out of their delivery bikes)...

...Yamaguchi Park (where Pico makes friends with the resident ducks)...

...how to ask for the larger coffee, which comes in a glass (café con leche en vaso)...

...and our new home-away-from-home.
