On the Road to Pamplona

September 15
Zubiri, typical-looking Spanish village/town along our way so far.

A rock quarry outside Zubiri.

Traversing the quarry.

Waterfall in the countryside beyond Zubiri.

On the medieval stone bridge into Irotz.

At an outdoor cafe in Irotz.  We eat our bocadilla--brought with us from the cafeteria--here with many familiar faces.  Paddington and Duck enjoy the company of Alistaire and Anthony from Australia.  Incidentally, Duck gets his name here: Pico Patito.

Someone else's misadventure. Considering our own earlier travails, we hope this poor pilgrim had something else besides flip-flops to walk onward in.

A Camino fountain in the suburb of Pamplona, Trinidad de Arre.

A house in Arre beautifully decorated with shells.  Somehow related to the Camino?

Cruce Cross at the foot of one of the five medieval bridges in Pamplona, Puente de la Magdelena.

Jerri on the bridge.

Entering the old town city center area of Pamplona over the drawbridge.

A package of kitty treats I buy in a Pamplona supermercado to share with new kitty friends along the way.
