Free!

September 25
This morning, Beth got discharged from the hospital.  But not before a long, frustrating call with the insurance company on Jerri's part.  It was actually afternoon by the time we left.  There's so much more that could be said about the hospital visit, but that could be a book in itself.
The social worker, Gema, was a wonderful resource.  She even told us that if we needed to fax or call, or otherwise needed help finalizing plans (Beth will be returning to Quincy; Jerri and I will do some modified journey to Santiago), we could return to her office.

The first thing Beth wanted was a real cup of coffee.  Afterward, we walked around the neighborhood, Jerri and I pointing out interesting places and sights.

We had a timely email from the insurance company telling us that travel arrangements for Beth were being made.  Lunch, a quiet afternoon, and dinner have passed.  Now, approaching bedtime, we are still waiting for information.  The next time I post, I hope to be able to share the plan of action.
Good night!

  1. I see Jerani is in mourning over Michigan's loss to Notre Dame, wearing a t-shirt that's fading as fast as the Wolverines...
